Whitehorse Lodge

Home Details

Whitehorse Lodge is a residential house with a comfortable home environment intended to replicate family/community living. The treatment program has a strong focus on community involvement. For example, young people are intensively involved in community programs and activities, community schooling, employment, and other community activities with the intent to prepare them for the transition to foster care or family reunification.

Young people work through a life skills program. They develop competency in daily living tasks, money management, self-care, work and study habits, meal preparation, grocery purchasing, housing, and accessing community resources.

The treatment program provides a great deal of space for residents to exercise internal decision making and problem-solving skills through the use of empowering processes that assists them in developing their preferred futures.
